For her fall Mariù De Sica collection, Maria Rosa De Sica worked the softer side of simplicity to lovely effect. “These are clothes for a women who is extremely feminine, yet minimal,” said the designer, who favored fluid lines in short flared skirts and silk dresses that could clock ice time in Sochi, all embellished with tone-on-tone lamé inserts. Curved lapels and rounded buttons tempered the rigor of de Sica’s outerwear, cut from tony cashmere and alpaca fabrics which she developed with the prestigious Italian wool mill Lanificio Cerruti.
