Marcia Patmos brought elements of Thirties Art Deco into her wearable — and saleable — fall collection. The Chrysler Building, for example, was expressed via a Deco beaded tank in navy and silver over a gray suede skirt, while a wool herringbone coat featured linear panels of silver fox. The result was an interesting geometric effect. Patmos, who has successfully expanded from her knitwear roots, also worked a subtle men’s wear vibe into some of the looks — most notably on a brick red suede shirt paired monochromatically with wide-leg leather trousers.
