Nanette Lepore called this collection a “treasure chest of fun,” meant to celebrate the talented artisans of New York’s Garment District.

At first glance, many of the looks appeared downright subdued for the typically more-is-more Lepore, but closer inspection revealed intricate details: braiding on a fur, leather and wool coat, for example, and rich embroidery on an exotic printed chiffon skirt.

Throughout, the designer focused on longer skirt lengths than in past seasons. The cut came across as modern and urban on a gray felted-wool dress, but accented with multicolored gems, it was still very much Lepore.
