“Chic altitude” was the theme for Porsche Design’s runway show, as creative director Thomas Steinbruck looked to the Alps circa the late Seventies for inspiration. The outcome was a luxurious collection based on volume and shape.
For women, there were cozy chunky knit sweaters — most noteworthy were the open-back versions — and plenty of great leather items, from chic pleated skirts to cool jackets.
In an attempt at evening, Steinbruck offered metallic glazed dresses and clunky embellished skirts that were out of place in the otherwise modern aesthetic of the collection.
The Porsche Design man leads a glamorous, jet-set lifestyle. His leisure attitude translated into an array of rich textured sweaters, sleek technical parkas and a stunning black shearling cropped leather jacket.
