Tadashi Shoji was mostly in a Moorish mood with his colors (from pale and misty to rich and earthy) and decorative motifs including laser-cut suedes, hand beading and corded embroidery. But it was the airy appeal that gave this collection its charm. Short, swirly dresses were done in openwork micro suedes, a gown came in moss metallic Chantilly lace and lacy wool dresses were shown over nude slips.
