By designing for “the magpie girl who loves it all,” as Tia Cibani said after her presentation, she addressed a niche that doesn’t get a lot of love from the designer market. It’s an earthy, eclectic look, this season seemingly influenced by traditional Turkish garb and all the exotic textures, tapestries and bohemian grandeur associated with it.

If Cibani overindulged in hefty fabrics and proportions at times, there was an offbeat charm to some of the voluminous layered ensembles of cocoon caftans over slim pants in rich colors and fabrics like brocade, lamé, macramé and damask.
