Something for everyone. Apparently, Nicky and Simone Zimmermann took that notion to heart.
Inspired by Beatniks and Teddy Girls, they showed the requisite boyish suits on models with slicked-back hair and leather bows tied around their necks. Then came tiered baby-doll dresses, a witchy jumpsuit studded so heavily it slid down the model’s body as she walked, and fierce body-con dresses with swirling peekaboo seams. It felt out of sync with the designers’ typically breezy aesthetic. There were beautiful clothes here — the suits and a popcorn-knit sweater, for example — but a tighter edit would have better served this contemporary favorite.
