Christian Wijnants said his fall collection was inspired by Léonard Tsuguharu Foujita. While the Japanese artist’s influence could be felt in the subtle colors, the patchwork effects that ran throughout the show were more reminiscent of American quilts.

The quilting theme was introduced with items like a blush-pink down coat stitched with a zigzag pattern, and paired with lichen-green loose pants with quilting done in a lozenge pattern. Wijnants developed the idea further with floaty tea dresses in an assemblage of dense prints that were effortlessly cool.
