A plaid pattern ran throughout in several colorways, while asymmetric hemlines and contrasting panels were also prevalent. An interesting flared dress, for instance, came with leather sleeves and side inserts made of a synthetic fabric; a short-sleeve gown was worked in various black-and-white plaids and checks with contrasting panels and leather bands.

Colorblocking was another theme, used most notably on a long, flowing silk blouse in navy, maroon and yellow and worn over a simple yellow skirt.
