Barbara Casasola RTW Fall 2015

Except for the elegant tailored suits and coats, everything in Barbara Casasola’s fall collection was made with a micro-pleated fabric.

Pleats, please! Except for the elegant tailored suits and coats, everything in Barbara Casasola’s fall collection was made with a micro-pleated fabric widely associated with Issey Miyake. Casasola sculpted it into sensual tunics worn over long and flowing skirts, lean polo dresses and languid pajama ensembles.

Her minimal color palette of black, brown and white was punctuated with solid vibrant hues, a signature of the Brazilian-born designer, whose modernist approach has made her a rising talent on the London scene. Apart from a riff or two on Céline, the collection had an easy, chic appeal.
