E. Tautz RTW Fall 2015

For E. Tautz’s third women’s wear outing, designer Patrick Grant looked to his men’s collection, describing the lineup as the “little sister.

For E. Tautz’s third women’s wear outing, designer Patrick Grant again looked to his men’s collection and simply refashioned it in smaller sizes, describing the lineup as the “little sister. A lot of women look at our men’s show and think ‘I’d like to dress like that,’” said Grant.

As with the men’s fall collection, Grant took inspiration from Douglas Dunn’s collection of poems “Terry Street,” which depicts life in Sixties working class northern England.

The lineup included rugged wool sweaters, wide-leg herringbone tweed pants and a silk wool pantsuit in a blurred check, all in a palette of gray, black and white, to evoke the idea of “sooty, slightly decayed, working class streets,” Grant said.

The result was a gamine collection that stayed true to Grant’s aim to create “pretty straightforward” clothes.
