Angela Missoni set out to re-visit the jacket, and she hit her mark with a collection of multi-tasking knitwear that was cozy, but not bulky. “It’s one of the advantages of working with knitwear rather than fabric,” the designer said of her silhouettes. All of the toppers were reversible, including the bomber, quilted and body-hugging jackets and coats. To create texture and warmth, Missoni mixed different yarns in one sweater: wool and mohair for sleeveless cardigans; cashmere and silk for turtlenecks; and wool and nylon for quilted hunting jackets. And while these knits were fit for long autumnal strolls and mushroom foraging, the collection had an urban vibe, with black-and-white zigzag patterns and shades of pewter and slate gray.
