Taking a cue from the 2010 documentary “Senna,” about the late racing car driver Ayrton Senna, designer Thom Browne celebrated the daredevils of Formula 1 and their wardrobes. A model dressed in a jumpsuit, goggles and helmet described each look as Moncler’s sometimes stylish, sometimes silly men made their way down the elegant runway at Palazzo Clerici. Models showed off a host of classic men’s wear shapes — the Chesterfield, peacoat, sport coat, and trench — in Prince of Wales checks or fabrics such as waterproof cashmere and cavalry twill. This being Moncler, they were all stuffed full of down feathers, as were the red and white nylon jumpsuits with reflective details and long, voluminous nylon puffer jackets, some with Persian lamb collars.
