“It’s Lacroix, sweetie!” read the show notes, borrowing a phrase from the popular British comedy series “Absolutely Fabulous.” Lacroix’s artistic director, Sacha Walckhoff, took a similarly light-hearted approach, sprinkling heritage references across young-spirited suits, and sportswear with an athletic edge. White shirts had graphic crosses and check panels at the waist that formed trompe l’oeil cummerbunds, while black sweatshirts and jackets came loaded with kitsch crosses and pins. Overall the lineup felt a little light for connoisseurs of the house, and at times too wacky for everyday civilians, especially the kaleidoscope-print leisure suit.
