Welcome to the Asian fusion,” designer Olivier Rousteing said of his East-meets-West collection that fused Seventies dandy style with Asian references, with sometimes tricky results. A white shirt, puffer jacket and green suede perfecto sported kimono lapels, while a navy low-crotch harem pant was paired with a mohair sweater and cinched with a wide judo belt.

Rousteing threw a couple of “couture” pieces into the storyline, such as a fur-trimmed black hooded parka with elaborate passementerie details at the sides. One ornate jacket crafted from flat wood beads over wood-print leather with gold piping looked as stiff as the Chinese marquetry that inspired it.
