Men’s outerwear got the leather treatment at Loewe, with standouts that included a lightweight peacoat in bonded leather with embossed trompe l’oeil anchor buttons and a black leather take on a classic military coat with a bold detachable hood and zip-out sheepskin lining. “What’s interesting is that it takes on a different life when it’s in leather,” said creative director Stuart Vevers, whose aim is to approach the skin in a modern, innovative way using an authentic starting point. Other wardrobe basics channeling relaxed elegance included an indigo shirt with a contrast black leather collar, a reversible black suede jacket and chunky navy knits. New leather goods styles included the Almería suede tote with a handle and shoulder strap and the softly structured Lorca messenger bag.
