Inspired by her grandfather’s farm and its workers, Lou Dalton’s focused collection had a worn-in, wistful feel, thanks to its faded-out colors and cozy, textured fabrics. There were hardy pieces such as heavy corduroy pants worn with matching shirts and chunky-knit circular scarves worn around models’ necks.
Standout outerwear looks included a voluminous navy greatcoat in wool cashmere along with a cropped flying jacket in suede. Dalton stressed after the show that she wanted the collection to feel “modern rather than heritage,” and she successfully injected a youthful feel with bleached, tie-dyed denim pieces. They included faded blue denim jeans, their cuffs rolled up over heavy boots, and one faded pink tie-dye denim shirt and jeans combo.
