Although the inspiration for fall at Jack Spade was “the art of subtraction,” several new elements were added — notably the elegant tailored clothes.
“We looked back at our best bags — clean and utilitarian — and applied that to apparel,” said design director Todd Magill. The brand’s signature Waxwear fabric, used liberally in its bag assortment, was worked on sleek trenchcoats and technical parkas with shearling collars, enhancing the functional essence of the collection.
Traditional herringbone blazers were paired with suede sweatpants, encapsulating the dynamic new lifestyle of the Jack Spade man.
Magill also updated the company’s trademark bags, showing everything from soft briefcases to gym bags and backpacks in clean, boxy shapes.
