Christian Dada Men’s RTW Fall 2015

As Iggy Pop’s “I Wanna Be Your Dog” blared, the show sought to express the streetwise, punk-infused attitude of Z-Boys with their high-waisted, ripped denim, often cropped as shorts; black leather biker jackets; hacked-up tartan shirts, distressed fleece, and striped T-shirts.

Morikawa gave this slice of Americana his own spin and tinged it with strangeness, adorning most of his pieces with red tape spelling out “fragile” or “confused.” One biker jacket came in the form of a teddy-bear shearling jumpsuit, adding a cartoon touch to this tough-minded show.
