Perry Ellis Men’s RTW Fall 2015

Designer Michael Maccari presented a more-directional collection featuring original Perry Ellis silhouettes blended with a modern ath-leisure point of view.

Things are starting to change at Perry Ellis. In his sophomore effort, designer Michael Maccari presented a more-directional collection featuring original Perry Ellis silhouettes blended with a modern ath-leisure point of view.

Maccari said he drew from the former designer’s archives for inspiration, but updated the looks with bonded wools and technical fabrics. “The fabric determined the shape,” he said. The heritage pieces came in the form of slouchy toppers and a drop-shoulder car coat. There was also a “color pop” — an abstract graphic print that appeared in Neoprene sweatshirts and intarsia sweaters.

It might not be a brand new day quite yet, but the future looks bright for the Perry Ellis brand.
