James Long’s models stomped down the runway like futuristic rebel soldiers wearing pieces such as a pair of Bermuda shorts that shimmered with a gold, bronze and green burnished metallic camouflage print — inspired by Andy Warhol’s “Oxidation” series of artworks — or a tank top made from pieces of khaki and gray leather haphazardly stitched together to form a camouflage design. More commercial plays on the look came in the form of leather sleeveless biker jackets in dark metallic green or black.
