Inspired by the exploits of the late explorer Wilfred Thesiger, designer Patrick Grant said he wanted to “tell the story of a British man who adopts the personality of the various cultures he passes through.” He combined colors evoking Thesiger’s North African adventures — such as deep fuchsia, vibrant yellow, pink, and sky blue – with his polished tailoring. Looks included a sky blue cotton duster coat worn over a sharp and skinny navy suit, and a midnight blue suit jacket worn with tailored shorts and topped with a cotton sunhat. He even gave caftans a sartorial spin: They looked like oversized, tailored shirts and came in crisp white or deep blue.
