Shimon and Ariel Ovadia took a step outside their comfort zone for their first New York Fashion Week presentation.
“Everybody thinks we’re preppy or we make suits, but we wanted to show everything we’re about,” said Shimon Ovadia.
That’s just what the twin brothers did, offering up Neoprene motorcycle jackets and hoodies, lightweight reflective jackets and an array of indigo pieces including a bleached two-panel sweater and a cotton denim suit. Monochrome statement floral printed shirts, silk schoolboy suits and paint-splattered pants added edge.
The elegant tailored clothing was, of course, still there — sharp single- and double-breasted jackets in sleek black, black-and-white plaid and blue — thus this far-reaching collection proved Ovadia & Sons can now wardrobe men 24/7.
