Edward Crutchley, who took part in the Fashion East group presentation on Monday, and who is also a textile consultant for labels such as Richard Nicoll and Louis Vuitton, showed a street wear collection inspired by Indonesian fabrics. “We saw amazing techniques on ikats and blankets there,” said the designer, who reworked and changed their colors for exclusive fabrics such as double-sided jacquard and batik jersey.

Marques’Almeida, meanwhile, showed their signature raw-edged denim while the jeweler Alan Crocetti created a dark and edgy collection that recalled the film “Fight Club.” Jewelry looked as if it came straight from a doctor’s bag: There were silver-cast bandages, which models wore on their noses, and articulated rings inspired by the metal bolts that hold fractured bones in place.
