The sprinklers outside the Honorable Artillery Company are greening up its polo field — and Jeremy Hackett laid out a turf runway for a spring collection that exalted quintessential British sports.
The collection screamed summer from the opening nautical looks, which segued into equestrian and cricket motifs. Trim and athletic tailoring dominated, rounded out with gentlemanly sweater jackets and breezy nylon shirts.
Crisp linens, candy stripes, seersucker and punchy colors trumpeted Hackett’s cheery brand of conservative style. Four polo players, mallets in hand, accompanied him for his bow.
