In the summer of the World Cup, Antonio Marras decided to dedicate his men’s collection to Gigi Riva, one of the most popular Italian soccer players of all time. The designer didn’t take the soccer inspiration too literally, but blended sporty references and sartorial elements into a fresh lineup. In keeping with the label’s signature style, different printed fabrics were mixed and matched on shirts — some of them embellished with hoods — suits and outerwear pieces, including a dark denim jacket with jersey sleeves worn with baggy, rolled-up jeans. The designer also delivered lightweight knits in sophisticated hues that came paired with shorts in fluid shirt fabrics and jogging pants decorated with contrasting stripes.
