Massimo Piombo’s collection focused on texture and color. Fabrics, sourced from countries including Hungary, Switzerland, France, Belgium and Holland, felt like soft burlap, or had pique or waffle weaves, as in one navy, softly constructed silk and linen short coat. Patterns were plentiful, and ranged from red windowpane checks or caramel houndstooth weaves for soft, lightweight jackets, to mint green plaid for a raincoat, to bright geometric patterns for silk dressing gowns.
