In his debut runway collection of sporty tailored clothing for Perry Ellis, designer Michael Maccari was inspired “by the lines and grids of the city,” as evidenced by the well-structured suits and graphic prints that appeared on sweatshirts, shorts and bomber jackets. A highlight was the technical outerwear, including anoraks, Windbreakers and cropped summer parkas, which helped to elevate the retail-friendly offering.
