He found inspiration at Brighton’s Indo-Saracenic Royal Pavilion, which John Nash designed for the extravagant Prince Regent. The prince’s flamboyant style was cleverly translated by Long into a mishmash of prints, textures and colors for his psychedelic modern peacocks.

Distressed denim jeans and jackets were splattered with paint, tie-dyed or dusted with chalk pastel, giving models the air of free-spirited art students, especially when they wore ruffle-fronted paisley shirts that had skinny black silk scarves loosely knotted at the collar.
