Matthew Miller Men’s RTW Spring 2016

Matthew Miller showed a sophisticated collection, using a cotton-bonded metallic fiber for pale blush pink coats that looked as though they had been violently scrunched up, giving a sculptural effect to the finished look.

Matthew Miller spent three months of this year writing a business plan, a process that frustrated him immensely and was contrary to his creative nature. He channeled that ire into his sophisticated collection, using a cotton-bonded metallic fiber for pale blush pink coats that looked as though they had been violently scrunched up, giving a sculptural effect to the finished look.

The red tape he loathes was expressed in a spray of crimson paint that cut across the back of a softly tailored gray wool blazer, worn with cropped suit pants.

Two navy linen tops with raw edges and shredded hems looked like they’d been the victims of Miller’s visceral rage, offering a nice textural counterpoint to the sleeker fabrics in the tailoring.
