Sibling Men’s RTW Spring 2016

Sibling's collection may have been packed with pep, but it will take some serious strategizing to score on the shop floor.

Sibling’s three knitwear experts – Cozette McCreery, Sid Bryan and Joe Bates – made their first foray into tailored clothing this season with a camp collection that took cues from American football. Suits, made by Savile Row’s Edward Sexton, had bulbous shoulders meant to resemble football pads while cropped and narrow flat-front trousers had bright contrast stitching around the ankle.

When they weren’t decked in suits, Sibling’s beefy and tattooed models wore tight, knitted football trousers or swimmers’ shorts with lace-up flies, worn provocatively loose around the crotch. Sweaters were borderline garish in a palette of aqua and corn-on-the-cob yellow, while parka hoods came edged in raffia streamers plucked from cheerleaders’ pom-poms. This collection may have been packed with pep, but it will take some serious strategizing to score on the shop floor.
