Nature played a strong role in Matthew Williamson’s pre-fall collection, demonstrated in various leaf and feather patterns, which he used on everything from silk blouses and dresses to coats and evening frocks. The lineup included lots of textures and layers, as on a great coyote-fur and leather-trimmed jacket worn over a silk blouse and felt skirt in contrasting jungle prints. As for the more luxed-up looks, hand-beaded feathers adorned a short one-shoulder dress, and a short fractured sequin number was shown under a long cozy cardigan.
