John Galliano hasn’t shown a pre-fall collection in two years, but he returned this season with a colorful lineup inspired by a Parisian Seventies street glamour. Shots of vibrant colors like acid green, turquoise and purple were a direct reference to photographer Guy Bourdin’s shoots. The overall look was more urban and less romantic than usual, demonstrated with polka dot blouses and satin shorts, or tuxedo suits paired with purple fox fur.
