A young, nonconformist Brigitte Bardot was the woman Angela Missoni had in mind for M Missoni’s pre-fall collection. Infusing the lineup with a late Fifties-early Sixties Beat mood, she delivered hourglass silhouettes in geometric motifs inspired by a number of Swedish graphics from that period. She also introduced new stretch fabrics that combined wool with nylon inserts, as shown on the cardigan-like top of an over-the-knee length dress with a trompe l’oeil printed skirt. The collection also featured cropped jackets matched with flared skirts in heavy wool for a bouclé effect.
