“Wo-Man” is how Donna Karan described her pre-fall collection. “We have to remember there is a man in every woman,” she said. Karan played up feminine touches against masculine ones, showing strong shoulder tailoring on tuxedo jackets and trenchcoats worn over soft, fluid ombré dresses and skirts. A formfitting jumpsuit was cut close like a bodysuit, and a white asymmetric origami blouse topped an indigo draped pencil skirt that featured an oversize bow in front. It also serves as a pocket, or, as Karan said, “It’s a bag bow.”
