Christopher Bailey playfully interpreted signature Burberry silhouettes and colors with striking embellishments and new patterns for pre-fall. A cropped aviator jacket with bulky sleeves, for instance, was juxtaposed with an exquisite jeweled skirt, while a chevron knit top was shown with a cool grommeted leather skirt. Bailey also mixed fabrics for some terrific outerwear pieces, including one tailored coat, its top in beige cashmere and bottom in an abstract dégradé printed calfskin.

The men’s wear, which featured elegant double-breasted coats, slim-fit pants and T-shirts with whimsical motifs (a Beefeater, an English bobby) provided a great counterpart.
