Consuelo Castiglioni took inspiration from a masculine wardrobe for Marni’s pre-fall collection, making sure to mix a cool dose of femininity into the looks. Double-breasted blazers and slouchy pants, worked in a seductive, modern Japanese crinkled polyester fabric, were worn with boxy flannel duffle coats, or tailored classic coats in patchwork fox fur in a herringbone pattern. Tailoring gave way to some hybrid pieces, with suit sleeves attached to a dress and coat.

A print master, Castiglioni also featured some spare but ultragraphic motifs — an overblown flower print in sober shades on dresses and the front of a white sweatshirt, and bold stripes on dresses. Sport was also a key theme here, with big parka hoods and elastic belts added to many pieces, while military coats and jackets were accessorized with fur collars. As for footwear, big, heavy shoes were worn throughout.
