“Shape, texture, proportion” is how Reed Krakoff summed up his new season, and the designer made a statement for all three with this lineup. He played with the notion of a uniform for the coats that featured strong, straight shoulder treatments, and offered plenty of surface interest throughout, from perforated leather touches to ultralight rubberized lace. Krakoff’s new silhouettes included dresses with asymmetrical seams and draped skirts, which were often teamed with oversize chunky knit sweaters. And for a dose of decadence, a sleeveless V-neck top, mink in the front, cashmere in back, was shown with a hand-painted python skirt that was draped like a kilt.
