For her first collection as creative director of Issa, Blue Farrier looked to the bejeweled ladies of Mayfair as her theme. There was a gold Lurex and organza silk skirt and blouse with faux jewels around the high neck, and silk blouses with clusters of gems at the throat.

She worked with stiff and soft textures, i.e., a sparkling blue paisley jacquard bomber jacket with black velvet ties and a silk viscose pajama suit with shawl collar. The prints were inspired by the architecture of Mayfair, including bits of marble, cornices, Georgian houses and 18th- and 19th-century lithographs of jewelry.

Farrier also took an Issa classic — the jersey wrap dress — and loosened up the silhouette and added a polka dot twill belt so it could double as a dress and a long, fluid jacket.
