A 1966 archival photo of a Chloé blanket coat was the starting point for Clare Waight Keller’s pre-fall lineup. She worked the blankets into beautiful fluffy capes and cropped jackets, all trimmed with thick piping. The silhouettes, which were anchored in soft layers, were traced with ruffled borders, curving hemlines and blouse sleeves, creating a nice fluidity and flirty sophistication that was grounded by chunky knits, robust shearlings, boots with thick stacked heels and Chloé’s first leather jewelry collection.
