“Pre-fall can be uptown or it can be downtown,” said Dennis Basso. “It’s all about the woman taking the pieces and making them her own.” To that point, crocodile jackets looked cool over gowns but could work just as well with jeans. Basso was influenced by London in the Sixties, so miniskirts also made a strong statement. One standout was a tweed style with multicolored embroidery, paired with a black shearling in foiled gold.

Furs were of course a main element but here they were done with a twist, such as the lynx swing coat with a gray croc bodice.
