It was a tale of two cities at Diane von Furstenberg as the designer artfully merged two inspirations: the colorful, organic shapes of midcentury Venetian glass and the glamour and energy of New York. Prints were fluid and graphic and shown in rich hues and stark black-and-white. Von Furstenberg kept shapes relatively simple with maxidresses, a cutout tunic-and-pants combination and her 40th-anniversary wrap dress that featured a jersey top and a crisp cotton bottom.
