Dipping a little more into the house’s codes with every season, Sonia Rykiel designer Geraldo da Conceicao found a comfort level with his first pre-fall collection. “The layered look was always very Rykiel and a lot of women today relate to that way of dressing,” da Conceicao said. There was also a play on volume and tailoring. Baggy cropped pants were cinched at the ankles with darts and were worn with da Conceicao’s short version of Rykiel’s signature message knits and a half sweater shown as a scarf. Elsewhere, wide pants were topped with an oversize bubblegum-pink sweater.
