Josie Natori made luxe, textural fabrics the focus of her pre-fall collection. Dresses and outerwear came in lacquered laces, metallic leopard-printed jacquards and a convincing faux leather — with many of her looks adorned with decadent embroideries and embellishments, as in a bolero covered in feathers.
A sensuality lingered through the fitted jumpsuits and blouses featuring contrast lace accents. “We’re based on lingerie, and I thought it’s about time we incorporate it,” Natori said. “That’s our DNA — so why are we hiding it, right?”
