Jonathan Saunders introduced his first of two capsule collections for Escada Sport (the second will bow for pre-fall) for resort. He drew on fond memories of Escada ad campaigns circa his college days, which made a lasting impression with the Escada woman’s love of color. Saunders sought to re-create that bold, head-to-toe look — tricky territory — but in a sporty, younger way, and came out a winner. The lineup featured bold colors — e.g. turquoise, kelly green, red and yellow — and plenty of his signature graphic prints on American sportswear staples, such as tunics, pleated skirts and easy dresses.
