An orchid sent by a friend inspired Peter Som’s hothouse of a resort lineup, one beautiful print in particular. Said orchid made quite a painterly impression, blown out and rendered in a mix of pinks, purples and blues on a dainty dress and matching blouse and pants. The rest of the collection wasn’t for shrinking violets either. Som loves to play with color, patterns and textures within a ladylike vocabulary and did so here with a lime green jacquard coat worn over a color-blocked lace dress, and a matching jacket and shift in a graphic, black-and-white bamboo print.
