“I want St. John to be the go-to for classics,” said St. John’s creative director George Sharp. Thus he gave a nod to Lauren Hutton for resort and continued his love affair with the Seventies via soft fluid blouses; relaxed, wide-legged trousers, and easy skirts. Working in toned-down neutrals with pops of vibrant colors, Sharp gave the clothes a modern, sophisticated twist, evident in some great basics, from chic blouses to sexy pencil skirts. For evening, he kept it relaxed with embellished tops and satin trousers, while even a black sequined top and long skirt looked effortless for black tie.
