For Mugler’s first pre-collection after its ready-to-wear relaunch, the house tapped into its anatomical constructions from last season and made them more commercially viable for cruise. Designer Sebastien Peigné, under Nicola Formichetti’s artistic direction, took inspiration from the tropical greenhouse of Paris’ Jardin des Plantes, or more specifically, the shapes of its exotic plant leaves. That provided a new color palette (bright green and lime) as well as the swirling cutout lines shown on shirts and dresses.
