“We did doll couture,” said Rolf Snoeren of his and Viktor Horsting’s Viktor & Rolf resort collection. “We found inspiration from the Sindy doll from the Seventies.” And so the duo took the mini wardrobe of a doll and scaled it to human proportions, maintaining a high attention to detail. The A-line silhouette was dominant, seen on a halter-top denim cotton jacquard dress and a high-waisted, ruffled silk maxiskirt. There also were flare pants paired with a white organza shirt embellished with sequins and featuring a maxi collar and maxi sleeves and, completing the collection, a capsule of four trenchcoats, including one in icy pink with macro stitching and ruffled trims.
