Inspired by an “anarchic elegance,” Damir Doma worked superlight fabrics and knits into patchworks and colorblocking, echoing the paintings of Mondrian, as well as graphics from the Eighties’ New Wave era. The notion of comfort has been a Doma forté for years and he energized it with this collection. Three printed silk and cotton gauze motifs were assembled in the pattern of a tail shirt worn with Doma’s signature “folded” pleated front pants, shown in leather or pajama stripes. As for accessories, his leather bags with whipstitch details and stiff circular handles were also done in contrasting colorblocking.
